Help! What should I do with my bookmarks?

November 16th, 2009

aboogyAndDeliciousLogoAboogy is like a beer.  When you are just a kid, you don’t get what the hell people see in that stinky bubbly liquid, but when you grow up it becomes irreplaceable.

Two, three beers are awesome, but add that two or three times up, and the whole system will collapse. With moderate number of links, Aboogy is perfect homepage on your browser. But if you manage to get five meter long columns of links, Aboogy will be of use to you as a piece of an used toilet paper.

The best way of using Aboogy is to put just those links you are visiting on a daily basis. For links you are using once in six months there is better solution. It’s called www.delicios.com. It’s like bottomless hole for bookmarks. Before you throw your link into that pitt be sure to tag it properly (put a key words about it) so you can easily find it when you need it

Let me give you an example.  Let’s say that you want to save this link: www.sexy-underware.com .  Don’t click on it! It’s just an example! Please, concentrate….

Delicious enables you to tag this link with some keywords. For example :

“sexy, underwear, shorts, g-string , present, anniversary, …”

There are no rules. More quality tags you enter, the easier it’ll be for you to find this link when needed. All you’ll have to do is type some of those words, and off you go.

Therefor:

www.aboogy.com is your perfect homepage

www.delicious.com is your perfect bookmark depo.

How does it feel being Aboogy addict?

October 28th, 2007

Not safe. That’s what one good friend of mine has told me.
“My whole web surfing portfolio is placed on your Aboogy and I’m totally hooked on it. It could easily happen that you wake up one morning and decide to reroute your creativeness towards agriculture or something similar, and as a result, me and few thousands of other people around the world would loose our bookmarks. And the worst part is, I wouldn’t know where to start surfing? When I find myself behind someones else’s computer, first thing I do is to log in at my Aboogy even if I know the address I need to visit. Just so you know, if I wake up one morning and Aboogy is not there with my cup of coffee, I’m gathering other members and coming after you with torches and pitchforks!”

I was shaken a bit by her words although she probably didn’t mean it. Anyhow, that was enough for us at Aboogy to start thinking about a blog as communication channel with our members. We want you to feel that someone is actually alive behind this five columns of links that you click on daily. We also want to hear your opinion. How satisfied are you with our service? Our customer support?

In the following posts we will fill you in a story behind Aboogy, about us, about all you want to know. Further more, we beg you not to be too hard on us concerning grammar and spelling on this blog since English is not our first language, and with our formal education long gone, all we have left are Hollywood blockbusters to learn from :)

We would also like to point out that there is a sister blog at http://blog.aboogy.com/hr for Croatian speaking members.
